Dacor wine door and seal service
The door of a wine column is a piece of equipment in itself: argon-filled triple glazing that keeps ultraviolet light and heat out of the cabinet, a gasket that has to seal against a room at eighty per cent humidity, and a push-to-open mechanism that people use several times a day. Condensation on the outside of the glass, or glass that is cold to the touch, means the cavity or the gasket is letting the cabinet fight the kitchen — and in this climate the cabinet loses that fight slowly, expensively, and out of sight.

How this visit actually goes
The same order every time, so nothing is opened and nothing is charged before you have seen the figure and said yes.

01
Read the glass
Outer pane temperature against the room. A pane running cold is a cavity that has lost its fill or a door that no longer closes square.
-
02
Test the seal all the way round
Paper drag at intervals, and the hinge geometry that decides it. A heavy glass door settles like a panel-ready one does.
-
03
Service the closure
Push-to-open mechanism, soft close and the strike. Most of the complaints about doors on this cabinet are mechanism rather than seal.

24-inch wine column · 100 bottles, three zones Dacor wine column repair in Miami
One cabinet, taken seriously. The 24-inch wine column holds about a hundred bottles across three independently held zones behind argon-filled triple glazing, on oak racks that glide out and doors that push to open. It is specified to hold within a third of a degree, and that specification is the reason people call: a cabinet built to that tolerance is expected to keep it, and a drift of two degrees in one zone is a problem here where it would be ordinary elsewhere. There is a smaller undercounter cellar too — 41 bottles, two zones — and it is a different machine with different expectations.
- 24-inch column: about 100 bottles, three zones, argon-filled triple glass, oak Glideracks
- PreciseCooling is specified to about a third of a degree — drift is a symptom, not a mood
- The undercounter cellar is a separate machine: 41 bottles, dual zone

About Dacor wine door and seal service
The door is equipment in its own right
Argon-filled triple glazing keeping heat and ultraviolet light out, a gasket sealing against a room at eighty per cent humidity, and a push-to-open mechanism used several times a day. Three different things that all present as a door problem. Condensation on the outside of the glass, or an outer pane that is cold to the touch, means the cavity or the gasket is letting the cabinet fight the kitchen — and in this climate the cabinet loses that fight slowly, expensively and out of sight.

Questions about Dacor wine door and seal service
Is condensation on the glass normal in Miami?
On the outside of a healthy door, no. The outer pane should sit near room temperature even in August. Cold glass is the diagnostic fact, not the damp.
The door will not stay shut.
Check every rack is fully home first — one sitting proud holds the door open enough to warm a zone permanently. After that it is the closure mechanism, which wears like any other.
