### Three small problems usually traveling together

Gritty, cloudy and wet are different complaints with different answers, and they arrive together often enough that fixing one leaves the customer where they started. Spray arms partly blocked, a filter left too long, and water harder than the machine was set up for. This badge is unusual in having a softener built into the appliance, which means there is something to service that most dishwashers do not have — and a machine that washed perfectly for years and then declined evenly is very often that softener rather than anything mechanical.

Service the softener and the filter

Prove the spray pattern

Every arm, including the third rack's feed, turning freely and clearing every jet. A single blocked jet leaves a repeatable dirty spot.

Check heat and drying

Cloudiness is chemistry and temperature; wet plastics at the end of a heat-free drying cycle are normal and worth saying so.

### Cloudy glass — is that the machine or the water?

Soak one glass in white vinegar for ten minutes. If it clears, the film is deposit and the water is the problem. If it does not, the glass is etched and no repair reverses that.

### Is one dirty patch on the same plate meaningful?

Very. A repeatable dirty spot is a blocked jet, which is a five-minute finding once somebody runs the arms under pressure.
